Synopsis
Karen returns to her hometown after many years. She tries to be there for her two nieces, whose mother has suddenly disappeared without a trace. A violent incident at the elementary school, which involves Karen's niece Zoe, sets off a dynamic that disrupts all relationships and the seemingly stable structure of the small town.
