Synopsis

Hanover detective Charlotte Lindholm shares a taxi with her Kiel colleagues Klaus Borowski and Sören Affeld after a conference. But the driver has no intention of transporting any passengers. A former elite soldier, he is on a mission to take revenge on his ex-girlfriend Nikki before she marries one of his former comrades. His actual destination is Leipzig. When a dispute breaks out in the taxi, Rainald kills the overzealous Affeld and takes Lindholm and Borowski hostage… A murderous journey eastward begins.

This is the 1,000th episode of the successful crime series "Tatort," with its title paying homage to the very first "Tatort" episode. Günther Lamprecht and Hans Peter Hallwachs, two actors from the original episode, also make guest appearances.
